And when you add the standalone Solo: A Star Wars Story and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story to the list, A New Hope actually becomes the sixth movie in the overall chronology – in other words, it quickly becomes obvious that navigating the timeline ain't quite as simple as dusting crops. Across all of his passions, Morgan's drive to be the best at what he does encompasses his every action.Meanwhile, the fourth movie to hit cinemas ( The Phantom Menace) comes first in chronological order. His love for Star Wars began, like most, in early childhood but didn't evolve into full-blown fanaticism until his early twenties when he finally devoted the time to watch the entirety of both Clone Wars and Rebels within the span of a month and realized just how vast and intricate its universe truly was. Though the details of Thrawn and Ezra's escape from the reaches of hyperspace may not be known for some time, it's clear that their conflict for the galaxy's fate is far from over. Certainly, Ezra will make his triumphant return in Ahsoka after many years of waiting, perhaps having become even more powerful in the Force than ever before to aid in his survival of wherever the Purrgil took him. Nothing is known of Ezra's fate following the climactic final episode of Rebels, but given the clear confirmation that Thrawn has made his return, it's highly doubtful that Esfandi's casting was simply to place Ezra in a recording or a flashback. RELATED: Ezra Bridger Actor Gives Emotional Reaction As Star Wars Character's Live-Action First Look Revealed While Ahsoka's showrunners may not yet be willing to give a better look at what fans have all been waiting for, Ezra's instrumental role throughout this series is all but inevitable. However, this is the very first look at Esfandi's portrayal of the character, and it's absolutely spot on visually. Viewers are only given the slightest glimpse of Ezra himself through the trailer, unfortunately, and likely not an up-to-date view of him, as well, as Sabine watches a message from him on an old holo-recording. Since the moment of Ahsoka's announcement and the confirmation that Eman Esfandi would be taking the role of the Rebels protagonist from Taylor Gray, fans knew that all roads led to Ezra Bridger. As the threat the Empire still poses under Thrawn's command is likely to be the biggest antagonistic force throughout Ahsoka, Hera is guaranteed to be front and center to oppose him. Given that Hera may likely be one of the few figures in the New Republic to have faced Grand Admiral Thrawn directly, she could play an integral part in opening the government's eyes to the Chiss' presence in the galaxy. Though she wasn't seen piloting the Ghost, the trailer certainly shows that Hera's role in Ahsoka will not be a minor one.Īs the trailer gave no direct interaction between the two, it's possible that Hera's new story will be one that coincides with Ahsoka's. Though only seen in a few brief shots of the trailer, it's clear already that Winstead's performance will maintain much of the unwavering confidence and determination established by Vanessa Marshall's initial portrayal of Hera as one of the Rebellion's finest. Upholding much of her classic appearance, Twi'lek ace pilot Hera Syndulla makes her live-action debut performed by the acclaimed Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
